And of course the peace of mind that your TV is protected. This makes for a nice, clean, professional setup.
I don't have a recessed outlet so the 90 degree plug works great for me, but I would think the engineers at Monster Cable would have come up with an adjustable cord plug. This PowerCenter works great and fits nicely behind my 50" plasma and 32" LCD. I agree with others in that the cord is too long, too thick, and not compatible for those with recessed outlets.
The power center mounts directly to the wall and allows the television to be mounted on the wall with no cords in view. I am using it with a recessed electrical outlet. I am not a Monster brand "junkie" but this provided the best value for the money via Amazon compared to anything I could have purchased elsewhere. I wanted a power filter to use behind my new 46 inch Z series Sony HDTV and this product fit the bill. I am very pleased with the performance of the television and the peace of mind provided by the power center.
The cord is a bit long but I would rather more cord than to little. So with a lower price tag its well worth the money to protect your expensive flat panel The plastic wall mount and angled plug worked perfect for my Motion 52 wall mount since it also requires power. I agree that Monster does charge a premium for their products. I purchased mine a year ago and it does exactly what its supposed to do.No surge in the house affects my TV.Picture quality is perfect and if anything does happen Monster supposedly will cover any damage.I saw a reviewer had several complaints about it and only paid $40.
I am going to have to remove my plasma from the wall mount and might have to change the wall outlet just to get this thing plugged in. I added a recessed plug behind my 60" plasma and I can't get the Monster Power Center plug to fit in the socket. I'm not really upset about that because I was going to take down the TV anyway to paint.but if that were not the case I would be agitated about that. I have to agree with Mr. Warrington about the plug.
